Jean’s Obituary WAGNER, Jean Catherine – of Lapeer, age 93, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her residence. Per Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be buried next to her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:30 PM. Jean was born in Mt. Clemons, MI on March 3, 1926, daughter of the late Robert and Lennie (Cook) Crowel. She married Ralph Wagner on August 10, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1989. Jean enjoyed spending her summers in St. Helen with her lifelong friends who were like a second family to her. She was strong in her faith, and sang with the church choir. Jean gave of herself unselfishly as a hospice volunteer. Jean is survived by children, Terry (Denice) Wagner, Nancy (Jim) Cooley, Chris (Heidi) Wagner; son-in-law, Larry Fox; grandchildren, Jamie (Jeff), Ali, Kelly, Jill (Scott), Brandon (Kristie), Aaron, Justin, Casey; great-grandchildren, Josie, Jadyn, Cole, Maxwell, Molly, Jake, William, Whitney, Grayson, Giuliana; brother, Earl Crowel; sister-in-law, Sally Thiede. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Fox; brother, Kenneth Crowel.
