James’ Obituary Starbuck, James Wesley, age 90, passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2019. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, a son of Louis Wesley and Ida May Starbuck (nee Markland). Jim was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army, a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and retired as a chemist with Mallincrodt, a member of Manchester United Methodist Church, where he was an active member of the Chancel Choir, and a former member of the St. Louis Metro Singers. Jim was the beloved husband of Ruth L. Starbuck (nee Hartley), who preceded him in death February 25, 1998; the dear brother of Fred (late Harriet) Starbuck and Shirley Ann (late Richard) Bragg; and also a loving uncle to numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Services: Memorial Service in the Ballroom of Friendship Village of Sunset Hills, 12563 Village Circle, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. A service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory.
