A Celebration of Life service for James Talley, 68 of Walnut, MS, will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 A M at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Lewis Glover and Bro. Dave Gifford will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home and Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:00 A M until service time at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Mr. Talley passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his residence in Walnut, MS. He was born May 3, 1951 in Alcorn County, MS to William Franklin Talley and Melba Levada Bright Talley. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. James is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Talley of Walnut, MS; his son, Jonathan Talley (Jennifer) of Kossuth, MS; his daughter, Cindy Bullard (Eric) of Clinton, MS; 4 grandchildren, Andy Whittemore, Evan Bullard, Lillian Bullard and Paden Talley; his brother, Jerry Talley (Dana) of Walnut, MS; 3 nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Talley, his mother, Melba Bright Talley and his sister-in-law, Patricia Talley. His Masonic brothers will serve as pallbearers.
