James’ Obituary James P. Adle of Cozad passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Emerald Care Nursing Home in Cozad at the age of 79. Jim was born on October 11, 1939 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Lester and Ruby (O’Kane) Adle. He graduated from Gothenburg High School and attended college at UNL in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was eventually called home to the family farm, as his father was in poor health. On April 8, 1961, Jim married Diann Fasse at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cozad. The couple were blessed with four children and celebrated 58 years of marriage. Jim farmed and raised cattle and hogs. After farming, Jim went to work at Tenneco Monroe for 13 years. He was a director on the COOP board and served on the Rural Fire Board and Cemetery boards. He enjoyed repairing his tractors, making German sausage and restoring his beloved Camaro Car. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cathy. Survivors include his wife, Diann Adle of Cozad; daughters, Lori Crowder and husband Pete of Lincoln, NE, Julie Griffis and husband Steve of Cozad, NE, Jody Hubbert and husband Tom of Elkhorn, NE; son, David Adle and wife Angela of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Kelsey Baxa, Ashley Livers, Kyle Crowder, Cory, Kylee and Cam Griffis, Haley and Reece Hubbert and Caleb Adle; and one great grandson, Beau.
