James’ Obituary Funeral services for Mr. James Howard Floyd, Jr, age 70 of Milan, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Bodkin Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will take place Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until service time. Mr. Floyd was Baptist by faith. He retired as Used Cars Sales Manager for North Lake Bargain Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. James served in the United States Army where he was an expert marksman and later he served in the National Guard. He also loved to fish whenever he could. Surviving Family: Wife – Lori Floyd of Milan Sons – James David Floyd of Livonia, GA and Christopher (Valerie) Floyd of Martin, GA Daughters – Cheri Diane Floyd of Livonia, GA, Christie (Jerry) Floyd Jackson of Braselton, GA, and Jamee Ann Floyd of Trenton, TN Brother – Carl Ragland of Springfield, GA Sister – Cathy Lafever of Woodbury, TN Grandchildren – 8 Great Grandchildren – 6 Mr. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Floyd, Sr and Margaret Phillips Ragland, and a brother, Herman “Sonny” Floyd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bodkin Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Read More
