Jim was born on January 11, 1944 to Harold Vestal Moses and Lola Glenn McFarlin in Ft. Worth, Texas. After graduating from R. L. Paschal High School, Jim wed Penelope (Penny) Wilson and they had one child, a daughter, Ginger Lane Moses-Garlitos. Following graduation, Jim joined the Army and served his country in Vietnam. Jim settled in Houston and called the area his home for close to 50 years. Jim worked in Alaska in the Pipeline and began his career in the Plastics industry in the early 70s. Jim owned and operated Bayland Inc. for more than 40 years, much of the time with his business partner, Perry Estes. Jim was a compassionate and humble man who always considered others before himself and this was evident in the way he ran Bayland. Jim worked around the clock to get the job done. His employees, some of which have worked for Bayland for 40 years, remember him as a man who was honest and dedicated to their success. Jim loved working and never retired, making business phone calls until shortly before his death. He found pure joy in what he did and will be missed by his employees and members of the Plastics community. Personally, Jim loved to travel, fish and hunt. Jim was a member of many organizations and clubs, such as Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em Club and Caca Pasa. Jim’s partner, Jean, was by his side for over 30 years. They shared a love for the water, traveling, fishing and spending time with their grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lola Moses and one sister, Glenda Moses. Jim is survived by his partner, Jeannie (Jean) Rudell; daughter, Ginger Moses-Garlitos; sister, Joyce Price and grandchildren; Harper, Gretchen, Graham and Megan Garlitos and Hunter, Tristan and Taylor Rudell.
