James E. Burnsworth, Jr., age 71 of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born April 28, 1948 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late James E. Burnsworth, Sr. and Mary P. (DiFazio) Burnsworth. A self employed truck driver, James also worked at Gulf Materials in Braddock. He enjoyed spending his free time working on his truck, and he was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Rhoda (Gurner) Burnsworth; his children Payton Burnsworth of Clairton and Marc Burnsworth of Lawrence, KS; his grandson Riley Burnsworth of Lawrence, KS; his siblings Mary Ann Falk of Finleyville, Sandy Elder of Clairton, and Joe Burnsworth of Rostraver Twp.; nephew Jordon Burnsworth and other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his son David Burnsworth and his brothers John and Thomas Burnsworth. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Monday, July 1, 2019 and Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 10 AM, officiated by Father Kenneth Kezmarsky. Interment will be announced as well.
