James’ Obituary James C. McConnell, 69, of Hatfield, PA passed away on June 5, 2019 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was the beloved husband of Wanda A. (nee Chase) McConnell. Born March 15, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa he was the son of the late Walter V. and the late Marjorie (nee Dusenbury) McConnell. James had been employed for many years in the Machinist Manufacturing Industry, and he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who proudly, honorably, and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War, where he attained the rank of Sergeant of Marines. He held memberships in many different Veterans Organizations including the Marine Corps League, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Military Order of the Cootie of the VFW. James was also highly dedicated to helping with the rescue of Siberian Husky Dogs for many years, a cause that was near and dear to his heart. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son, James J. McConnell , of Lansdale, PA and his sister, Nancy Love (Ed), of Goodyear, AZ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life to be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 1:00-4:30 PM at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #32, 802 West Second Street, Lansdale, PA 19446 where Military Funeral Honors by The United States Marine Corps will be rendered at 4:00 PM precisely.
