James C. Horne, Jr., 62, of Columbus, GA died at St. Francis Hospital Saturday, June 01, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 05, 2019 with Rev. Keith Nicholson officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Horne was born March 07, 1957 in Columbus, GA to the late James C. Horne, Sr. and Ella “Toni” Love Horne. He owned and operated Bi-City Service Company for over 40 years. Mr. Horne enjoyed Cowboy action shooting and long-range shooting, riding his UTV’s and Harley with his wife and family. His “baby” was his Shelby GT 500 Cobra Mustang. He enjoyed life to its fullest. We will miss all the fun times, but his humor, wisdom and good memories will always be in our hearts. Mr. Horne was also preceded in death by his sister, Gail Walters. Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Pam Parker Horne, Columbus, GA; three children, Leslie Horne Tomik (Robert), James Paul Horne (Amanda), Brittany Haines (Brad) all of Columbus, GA; sister, Kelly Horne Darr (Douglas), Columbus, GA; two brothers, Edward A. and Jim Brett Horne, both of Newnan, GA.; brother-in-law, David G. Walters, Hayesville, NC; six grandchildren, Gracie and Parker Tomik, Leigha and Lane Frazier, Will and Maddie Haines; lifelong best friend and partner in crime, Richard ‘Dickey’ Hattaway; nieces, nephews cousins and friends also survive.
