Appalachia, Virginia Jackie Clayton Lane, 82, passed away on June 7, 2019 at Norton Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Pearl Lane; son, Jeff Lane; and sister, Mary Ruth Henderson. He is survived by his wife, Stella Lane, of the home; daughters, Renee Patterson and husband Dylan of Big Stone Gap, VA, Tamra Franklin and husband Cliff of Church Hill, TN; daughter-in-law, Carol Lane; grandchildren, Chad Lane, Chasity Lane, Jessica Thomas, Travis Lane, Amber Lane, Derek Gibson, Michael Patterson, Tanner Lane, Sommer Franklin; 13 great-grandchildren, brothers, Sammy Lane and wife Bea of Duffield, VA, Jimmy Lane and wife Sue of Massachusetts; and sister, JoAnne Henry of Weber City, VA. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia VA. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tony Nunley officiating. Procession will follow to Riverview Cemetery (East Stone Gap, VA) for the committal.
