Whitehouse, 97, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Fox Trail Memory Care Center, Princeton, NJ, with her loving family by her side. Born in Trenton, Helen was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker, worked at Roebling Steel in Trenton, and ACME Markets, both for many years. Helen was an excellent seamstress, loved arts and crafts, and most of all, she loved her grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Nolan Runyon, her husband, Orville Whitehouse, her grandson, James Whitehouse, Jr., her sons, William, James, and Richard Whitehouse, and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Whitehouse. She is survived by her son, Edward Whitehouse; her daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Whitehouse, Cheryl Whitehouse, and Linda Whitehouse; her grandchildren, Sarah Hulick (David), Paul Whitehouse, Jacqueline Butler (Mathew), and George J. Tomko (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Logan Butler and Meredith Hulick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Church 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Burial will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Arrangements are by the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
