Funeral services for Mrs. Helen F. Jones, 85, will be held on Friday June 14,2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Maury City Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry King officiating with burial in the Maury City Cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the Bells Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late DeWitt and Ruby Harrison King and had lived most of her life in the Maury City community. Mrs. Jones was a retired employee of Levi’s and a Baptist in belief. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lawson, Ripley, TN, Connie Yarbrough (Larry), Gadsden, TN, Angie Lucas, Alamo, TN, sisters, Brenda Ward, Crockett Mills, TN, Gail Scully, Corinth, MS, brothers, Jimmy King, Centerville, TN, Jerry King, Harold King, W. D. King, Alamo, TN, Bobby King, Steele, MO, Billy King, Friendship, TN and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Opal Newell, Frances Smothers, Dimple Stewart, brothers, Willie D. King, Bobby King, William King and grandson Jacob Lucas. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lucas, Jordan Lucas, Frank Stanley, and Brent Selph. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday June 13, 2019 and food dishes may be taken to Faith Independent Church Hwy 88, Alamo.
