Gregory Philip Meller, 65, of Lohman, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 30, 1954, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to the late Charles Henry and Lavera June (Kirchoff) Meller. On July 20, 1974, Greg was united in marriage in Jefferson City, Missouri to Elaine (Rothove) Meller. Greg attended Helias High School in Jefferson City, graduating from Russellville High School in 1972. After graduating from high school, he entered the Missouri Army National Guard and retired after 22 years. He worked for many years at Pay Way Feed and also Town & Country Auto. Greg was a member of the Roscoe Enloe Post 5 in Jefferson City. He is survived by his wife Elaine; children: Dale Meller and his wife Kelli; Nichole Meller and Dave Huhn; siblings: Brian and Teresa Jayne; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Rothove; grandchildren: Katie, Shayna, Maddox, Jess and Ellie, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Rose, and father-in-law, Rudy Rothove. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Prayer Service will be at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Don Antweiler officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
