Gladys’ Obituary On June 8, 2019 Gladys M Polk of Lacey Spring went home to be with the Lord. She passed at home where she resided with her daughter Gloria Cook and her husband Melvin. She was born August 7, 1924 and was predeceased by her parents John and Mae Reedy and husband Harold M Polk. She had five children, Joyce Smith of Rockingham, Gloria Jean Cook of Rockingham, Rosetta Berbes of Harrisonburg and Junior Polk of Timberville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Kendall. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. Her ninety-four years here on earth were spent serving God and making sacrifices for her family. The viewing ceremony for family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday evening June 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. Her funeral service will take place at Grandle Funeral Home, June 12, at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
