Giuseppe’s Obituary SEYMOUR: Giuseppe Valenti, age 80, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 2, 2019, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Giuseppina Santangelo Valenti. Mr. Valenti was born in Collesano, Palermo, Sicily, Italy on June 12, 1938, son of the late Rosario and Francesca Ruffino Valenti. He came to the United States in 1967 and was a resident of Seymour for many years. Giuseppe was a member of the Sons of Italy in Derby and enjoyed gardening, making homemade wine, traveling back to his native country and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, John R. Valenti (Providence) of Peosta, IA, Rosario Valenti (Michelle) of Dubuque, IA and Paul J. Valenti (Kimberly) of West Hartford, CT, a brother, Salvatore Valenti (Maria) of Bridgeport, CT, sister-in-law, Maria Grazia Mazzacco (Nicholas) of Ansonia, CT, grandchildren, Joseph, Jenna, Abrianna, Max, Michael and Gianna Valenti and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Filippo and Paolo Valenti and sisters, Angela Valenti, Ignazia Curcio and Antonia Siragusa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday June 10, 2019, at 10:00 am (Please Meet Directly) at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will immediately follow alongside his wife in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
