Gerald’s Obituary Gerald “Jerry” Bertheaume resident of Ashland WI, formerly of Madison WI, passed away suddenly on 6/21/2019 at home at the age of 68 years. Jerry was born on 10/25/1950 in Ashland to Art and Betty Bertheaume. He served in the navy on a submarine during the Vietnam war. After the war he went first to Hawaii on a spiritual journey and then came home and attended Northland College where he earned a double major bachelors degree in psychology and sociology. Jerry, first and foremost, in his career life was a musician. He professionally played music from 1964 until 2018. He was a singer, song writer, recoding engineer, and arranger. His bands included The Mystery Men, Haydens Creation, The Wilson South Windsor Bisstle Bridge Band, Fire, The Boys, Hot Walker, The Geezers, and Rough Cut. He provided end of life cares for his father and moved back to Ashland to help care for his mother in her older years. Jerry was a teacher and a soul soother to his family. His hugs will be missed terribly. Jerry is survived by his wife, of 30 plus years, Kay Bertheaume, his children Shannon(Terrance) Bertheaume, Nicola(Clayton) Braxton, Jared Bertheaume, and Billy(Jessica) Chambers, His grand children, Troy Chambers, Kaylynn Braxton, Xavier Powell, Merrio Braxton, Annalisia Braxton, Lillyanne Chambers, Deion Chambers and Xander Bertheaume, his siblings John Bertheaume, Mary Kay(Tom) Duckert, Arthur(Donna)Bertheaume, James Bertheaume, Kathleen(Tim) Jensen, and Patti Sue(Brent) Stokesbury. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Arthur(Art) Bertheaume and Elizabeth(Betty) Bertheaume Zipperer, and his brothers Thomas Bertheaume and Timothy Bertheaume. There is going to be a celebration of life in honor of Jerry at The Stagecoach Bar and Grill 315 Main St E, Ashland, WI 54806 at 4pm Saturday July 13th. The Funeral service will be held Monday July 15th at Frost Home for Funerals 610 Ellis Ave S, Ashland, WI 54806 at 10am. Read More
