George B. Holmes age 76 of Eureka, KS died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home. George was born on February 15, 1943 in Hopkinsville, KY the son of George Henry and Mildred E. (Noll) Holmes. George was a graduate of Maize High School, he was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church. On November 1, 1975 George married Rebecca Ann Williams in Maize, KS. George and Rebecca have been married for 45 years and she survives at their home. George was a maintenance worker at the Nursing Home for many years but his true passion was raising his Black Angus Cattle. George loved watching all kinds of sporting events, especially baseball. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors including his wife Rebecca are: Daughter: Jenny Walker and husband Tom of Eureka, KS Brother: Tom Holmes of Maize, KS George was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Monday, June 24, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. A Graveside service will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 am at White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita.
