Gabriel’s Obituary Our beloved Father, Grandpa, Uncle & Friend Gabriel Martinez Cardoza, 81, of Fillmore, CA went to be with the Lord on June 8th, 2019 after a brief illness. Gabriel was born in Fillmore, CA on March 24, 1938. He was a longtime resident of both Santa Paula & Fillmore. He graduated from High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Gabriel worked as a laborer at Solo Cup Co. in Santa Paula, as a truck driver for the Santa Paula Lemon Association & a foreman at Ladera Ranch in Bardsdale for many years. He enjoyed fishing & hunting. His favorite pastime was relaxing with his family, listening to Art Laboe Oldies and drinking a nice cold beer after a hard day of work. Gabriel is survived by his former spouse of 35 years Christina Cardoza; his children, Edna Montes, Elizabeth Cardoza Cervantes, Gabe Cardoza, Edward Cardoza, Lorraine Cardoza, Gabriel Cardoza Jr., Lucia Cardoza Guzman & husband Joe; Siblings, Anthony “Tony”Cardoza (San José, CA) Frances Gonzalez (Delano, CA) Sara Medina (Fillmore, CA) Gloria Gonzalez (Ventura, CA) Cruz Buck (Santa Paula, CA) Henry Cardoza (Philippines) Conrad Jacinto (Delano, CA) David Cardoza (Palmdale, CA). 27 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews. Gabriel is preceded in death by his parents Bartolo Cardoza, Eleanor & Filberto “Wila” Jacinto. Siblings, Vincent “Chonte” Jacinto, Sisto “Jesse” Jacinto, Michael Cardoza, Linda Prado & his beloved son Anthony Cardoza.
