Frederick William Kerst III September 09, 1925 – May 31, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Frederick William Kerst III, age 93, of Chaska, MN, died peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2019, at his residence. Private family services will be held. Frederick was born September 9, 1925 in Hazleton, PA, the only child to Frederick W. and Helen (Jordan) Kerst II. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Guadalcanal Campaign. After moving back to Minnesota in 1976 from Wilbraham, MA, he was employed by St. Paul Companies for over 20 years. He was a great outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. He loved his cabin in Wisconsin, swimming, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving daughters, Karen (Pete) Doble of Jordan, Mary Beth Wade of Chaska, Linda (Jeffrey) Holmberg of Burnsville; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
