Fred W. Trebing November 18, 1933 – June 13, 2019 A Mass of Christian Burial for Fred W. Trebing will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Granbury, Texas. Fr. Fernando Preciado will be officiating. Interment with funeral honors by the United States Air Force will follow the services at Acton Cemetery in Acton, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 and Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home, 900 US HWY 84 W, Teague, TX 75860. Mr. Trebing passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Fairfield Nursing & Rehab in Fairfield. He was born in Nashville, TN, on November 18, 1933. He served in the U.S. Air Force 653rd AC&W Squadron, England Air Force Base, Alexandria, LA, during the Korean War. He also served in the Air Force Reserve, 14th Air Force, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. Mr. Trebing worked for many years for the Fort Worth Star Telegram until his retirement. He loved golf and enjoyed getting together with friends and family, playing cards and dominoes and traveling. Mr. Trebing was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #9748 for over twenty-eight years and a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Granbury. He is survived by one daughter, Karen Hodges; four sons, Thomas Trebing & wife Sandra, Johnny Trebing & wife Rosalinda, Ronald Trebing, and Wesley Trebing & wife Tammy; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister Shirley Hagerty & husband Robert; close friend, Judy White; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Trebing was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Trebing.
