Frank J. Schneider, 86, of Dubuque, Iowa was called home on June 14th, 2019 at Shady Rest Care Center. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Dianne Grace officiating. Committal prayers and military honors by American Legion Post #6 will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at Mueller Chapel, Linwood Cemetery. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Frank was born on March 29, 1933 the son of William L. and Mabel M. Schneider. He graduated from Senior High School in Dubuque and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. Frank and his wife Eva rode horses for 25 years and his favorite horse was named Rocky. He was a member of the Tri-State Boot Scooters, All Stars Country Dancers and the Dubuque Country Saddle Club. Frank is survived by two daughters Kathy Walker and Dianne Schneider; one grandson Bill Walker, two great grandchildren Brandon & Alec and his brother Richard Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eva; and his siblings The family wishes to thank Shade Rest Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque especially Tammy M. for all the wonderful care they gave to Frank. In lieu of flowers a Frank Schneider memorial fund will be established.
