Florence’s Obituary Florence Idabelle Miller, age 93 of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born on July 25, 1925 in the Town of Washington, to the late Phillip and Pauline (Simon) Galleske. Florence was united in marriage to Norbert William Miller on December 17, 1960 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Norbert preceded her in death on July 31, 2003. Florence lived for 30 years in Birnamwood and in Shawano since 1987. Florence was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel where she was a part of Ladies of the Church and a Sunday and Bible school teacher for many years. She was also part of the Shawano County Homemakers and also volunteered at Birch Hill Nursing home. Florence is survived by: her brother, Clifford Galleske of West Bend; nieces and nephews, Carla and Mark Matz, Mike and Julie Dorschner, Steve and Angie Galleske, Paul and Valerie Galleske, and Sarah and David Egelseer; numerous great nieces and nephews; and she is further survived by other relatives and friends, including special friends who helped her, Helen Raddant, Sue Ebert, Lois Ford and Elizabeth Manor. She is preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; one brother,Wilmer Galleske, sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and David Dorschner; sister-in-law, Carol Galleske. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev.Virgil Hanson officiating. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
