Florence Marie “Gramma” Ohman Zeman, 89, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Asheboro. Burial will be at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on September 24, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, Florence was the daughter of the late John and Mary Ohman. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. She was known as “Gramma” to the community and loved being a part of her grandchildren’s lives as she participated and supported them in everything they did. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Zeman and her son, Donald A. Zeman. Surviving are her daughter, Sue Anderson and husband Roger of the home; sisters, Terese Barbour of Shelby Township, Michigan, Anne Ohman of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Miki Anderson Haas and husband Chris of Charlotte, Ronnie Anderson of Wilmington, Robbie Anderson of Charlotte, Ryan Anderson of Raleigh, Rebecca Anderson of Raleigh, Matt Zeman and wife Allie of Westlake, Ohio, Kari Zeman of Cleveland Ohio; great granddaughter, Lennon Zeman of Westlake, Ohio; and great grand puppies, Sadie, Reggie, and Kevin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
