Ernest McPhearson “Mac” Weaver, age 77, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his home after a brief illness. He was born in Blountville, TN on July 12, 1941, a son of the late Ernest D. and Ruby Blackburn Weaver. He was retired from Holston Defense in Kingsport, TN after 33 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dianna Delaney Weaver; two sons, Matthew Weaver and wife Regina of Blountville, and Chad Weaver of Franklin, TN; sister, Mary Lou Weaver of Blountville; and brother, Marlin Weaver of Blountville. In keeping with Mac’s wishes, he will be cremated and no visitation or funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glioblastoma (GBM) American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Suite 550, Chicago, IL 60631, for cancer research. The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff of Avalon Hospice for their excellent care of Mac.
