Eric R. Joyce, age 35, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, June 9, 2019 at his residence in Jefferson. He was born March 27, 1984 in Greensburg, PA, the son of Edward R. & Susan J. (Quinn) Joyce and has lived in the Jefferson area since 2009. Eric was 2001 graduate of Blairsville High School in Pennsylvania. Eric loved to fly with his father in their private airplane, ride and drive 4-wheelers, loved the ocean and numerous vacations in the Outer Banks, N.C. and enjoyed music and having his cats with him. Survivors include his parents, Ed & Sue Joyce of Jefferson and five siblings, Nancy Scott of Houston, PA, Robert Joyce of Berwick, PA, Tammy Purifoy of Summerville, SC, Mark Joyce of Blairsville, PA & Steven Macheska of Belle Vernon, PA. Eric requested no services to be held, cremation will take place with his ashes to be scattered in the ocean at the Outer Banks, North Carolina.
