Ellenmarie’s Obituary Ellenmarie Ann Misiti, age 77, of Shiremanstown, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home. Born May 13, 1942 in Ashland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Miles Joseph and Margaret (Pitts) McDonald. Ellenmarie was a graduate of Shenandoah’s J.W. Cooper High School, Class of 1959. She went on to graduate from Polyclinic Hospital’s School of Nursing, Class of 1962. Her nursing career began at Polyclinic Hospital in 1962 and in 1976 she took a position with Holy Spirit Hospital until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. Surviving is her husband, Samuel Joseph Misiti; her sister, Margaret Ann Smith of Myerstown; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Miles Patrick McDonald. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be a visitation and luncheon at the church’s social hall following the interment. Ellenmarie’s family wishes to extend a special message of thanks to Dr. Williams and the staff at FHL Blood & Cancer Specialists for the care they provided through her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 E. Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Read More
