Ellen’s Obituary Ellen (Crosby) Tucker, age 81 of Lawrenceville, passed away at home on Saturday, June 15, 2019. She was born April 3, 1938 in Danville, IL to Homer Karr Crosby and his wife Lelia Minnie Eunice (Shutes) Crosby. On November 6, 1956, Ellen married Clarence “Short” Tucker in Shawneetown, IL. He preceded Ellen in death on January 12, 2018. Ellen was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, worked for many years with Private Duty Sitters, and loved her family and friends. Surviving family includes: one son- Gary Tucker and wife Yvonne of Springfield: three grandchildren- Allison Tucker, Austin Tucker and his girlfriend Kayla Klyaic, and Miranda Tucker: three great-grandchildren: and her siblings. She was preceded in death by: her parents- Homer and Lelia Crosby: her husband- Clarence “Short” Tucker: one daughter- Vicki Rae Tucker: and her siblings. A funeral service for Ellen Tucker will be held at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
