Mangus, Elizabeth C., “Libby” 96, Lorain Borough, passed away June 11, 2019 at home. Born June 4, 1923 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Ralph and Frances (Woelfel) Ashbridge. Preceded in death by husband, Harry, son, Charles, grandson, Michael, son in laws, Vernon (Sonny) Martello and Terry Duez., sisters, Frances Warner, Rita Smith, Dolores Querry, Ernestine Barkhimer, Margaret Helen and Helene, and brothers, Ralph Jr., Wilford and Leroy. Survived by children, Sherry Martello, Don and wife Jenifer, Frances Duez, Harry Jr. and Lorrie, daughter in law, Kathy Mangus. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sisters, Mary Cecilia O’Brien and Marlene wife of Tom Gahagen and sister in law, Diane Ashbridge, also by numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid bowler, loved dancing and playing Pinochle and Traveling. Libby especially loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a former waitress at Riek’s Restaurant and Top’s Grab N’ Go. She was a longtime member of Moxham P.N.A. and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, at KENNEDY’S 219 Ohio St. Johnstown, where vigil service will be held in the afternoon. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fr. Walter Moll. Committal Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Interim Hospice in her memory. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Kastelic and the staff of Interim Hospice for their outstanding care.
