Johnson, age 100 of Roanoke Rapids, NC, who transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Easter, a daughter of the late Aaron Pearson and Rosa Boone, was born November 15, 1918 in Northampton County, NC. Viewing for Mrs. Johnson will be Monday, June 24, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Cofield Mortuary, Weldon, NC. A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Mrs. Easter M. Johnson will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from The Sanctuary of Gaston Missionary Baptist Church, Gaston, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Dr. Tony M. Flood, Sr., giving words of comfort. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state at the church one hour (10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.) prior to the service and will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
