Orland Douglas Edward Sargent, 51, passed into the arms of Jesus and Mary on June 11, 2019 with his family by his side in Orland. Doug was born March 6, 1968 in Bridgeport, CT to his loving parents, Stanley E. and Sandra T. Sargent. Doug lived with his parents and younger brother Greg in Ansonia, CT for many years before moving to Orland with his parents in 1998. Doug loved and was loved by his family and friends. He was a huge fan of game shows, card games, the Beach Boys, Mary Poppins and Dirty Dancing. He was quite the character and loved life. He is survived by his parents, Stan and Sandy Sargent; brother, Greg Sargent and wife Jessica; niece, Bella; nephew, Oliver; his aunts and uncles including Joyce and Augustus Aquino, Gary and Jean Thomas, Pamela Cowperthwaite, Philip and Paula Sargent, Peter Sargent, Dale Sargent, Boyd and Jean Sargent and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wellington and Virginia Sargent and Raymond and Rita Thomas; Uncle Raymond Thomas; Auntie Irene DeCoff; nephew, Conner Sargent. A celebration of life for Doug will be announced at a later date by the family.
