Mrs. Dorothy E. Durkot, 94, of Burna, KY, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. Mrs. Durkot was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, Jack Gulley of Burna, KY; step-daughters, Gretchen Selwood (Tom) of Naples FL and Dee Durkot; brother, J. O. Jennings (Anna Sue) of Salem, KY; sisters, Rachel Atwell of SC and Mildred Sue Robinson of Calvert City, KY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Durkot; daughter, Doris Copeland; sisters Berteen, and Mina Gainey; brothers, Claude R. Jennings, William H. Jennings and Carl C. Jennings; Baby Boy Jennings; grandson, John Gulley; and parents, William Jennings and Gertrude Johnson Jennings. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Interment will follow at Dyer Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11 AM until the funeral hour, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY.
