Mrs. Dorothy E. Durkot, 94, of Burna, KY, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. Mrs. Durkot was a member of Dyer Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, Jack Gulley of Burna, KY; step-daughters, Gretchen Selwood (Tom) of Naples FL and Dee Durkot; brother, J. O. Jennings (Anna Sue) of Salem, KY; sisters, Rachel Atwell of SC and Mildred Sue Robinson of Calvert City, KY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Durkot; daughter, Doris Copeland; sisters Berteen, and Mina Gainey; brothers, Claude R. Jennings, William H. Jennings and Carl C. Jennings; Baby Boy Jennings; grandson, John Gulley; and parents, William Jennings and Gertrude Johnson Jennings. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Interment will follow at Dyer Hill Cemetery.
