Donald F. Fucci, 78 years old, of Marblehead, longtime resident of Swampscott and Lynn, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 24th 2019. He was born on December 14th, 1940 in Lynn Massachusetts, the son of the late Domenic and Pauline (MacDormand) Fucci. He was raised in Lynn, and after high school went on to earn a bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry from Suffolk University and a Master’s of Education from Salem State. He was employed in sales most of his career in a variety of industries, including medical instruments. Don was also a talented musician, playing the piano professionally for many years. He was an avid golfer, loved watching all New England sports teams, attending Red Sox games, and his greatest joy, spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandson. He will be remembered for his never-ending joke reel, his ability to find a bargain and his generous heart. He will be missed deeply. He is survived by his four beloved daughters, Gina Fucci Whitten and husband Emmett of Loxahatchee, FL, Andre’a Fucci Kiewert of Deer Park, Washington, Melissa Fucci O’Sullivan and husband Sean of Marblehead and Robyn Fucci and fiancé Derek Peterson of Marblehead. He is also survived by his nine loving grandchildren, Jaclyn and husband Oliver, Elayna and Spencer of Florida, Donovan, US Navy, and Carmen of Washington, Chase, Gavin, and Brady and Tucker of Marblehead, and his one great-grandson, Owen of Florida. In addition, he is survived by his sister Janice Fucci Brown and husband Bob of Methuen, sister-in-law Nancy Fucci of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his brother Richard Fucci of New Hampshire and by the mother of his children, Yvonne Fucci of Peabody. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 at 12pm in the Solimine Funeral home, 426 Broadway, Lynn, MA with visiting hours prior from 10am-12pm. Burial in Swampscott Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald’s name may be made to the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England, 219 E. Main Street, Milford MA 01757 in honor of his cherished niece Caitlin.
