Donald’s Obituary Donald Lee Slaughter, 77, Neosho, MO went to be with his Lord and Savior, and his wife, Dena, on June 23, 2019. Donald was born in Newton County, Missouri on September 22, 1941 to Albert and Minnie (Mead) Slaughter. He was a graduate of Seneca High School and spent most of his life in the Newton County area. Donald was a veteran of the US Army and had worked as a mechanic in an automotive dealership. He was a Christian and a Baptist. Donald married Dena Hobbs on September 21, 1970; she preceded him in death on October 23, 2012. He is survived by five children, Sherry Denny and husband, Gary of Goodman, MO, Vernon Cummings and wife, Darla of Anderson, MO, Darren Slaughter and wife, Virginia of Neosho, MO, Mark Slaughter of Oklahoma City, OK, and Adam Slaughter and wife, Eve of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Ed Slaughter and wife, Sandra of Seneca, MO and Jerry Dale Slaughter and wife, Pippa of Goodman, MO; one sister, Bonnie Cox and husband, Don of Neosho, MO; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and his special buddy, his dachshund, Slinkey. Donald was preceded in death by two sons, Dwayne Cummings and Charles Cummings; two brothers, Ralph Slaughter and Jack Slaughter; and one infant sister, Alberta Slaughter. Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 28, 2019 at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO. Reverend Alan Brock will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho, MO. A time of visitation will begin at 12 noon prior to Friday’s services at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Read More
