Obituary for Diane Lucille Dalton Diane Lucille Dalton (nee Bell), 69, went home to the Lord after a hard courageous battle with cancer on June 15, 2019. She is now with her late husband and soulmate, Edward T. Dalton, II, her son, Edward T. Dalton, III, her beloved mother, Lucille Cooper Bell, her best friend, Linda Cocoma, and too many others that have gone on before her. She was born and raised in Atlantic City (Chelsea Heights). She located to Devonshire in Mullica Township in 1976, where she was still a resident. She worked for the Atlantic County Clerk’s Office in Mays Landing for over 25 years. She is survived by her children, Jamie Gotwals, Deborah Dalton, Shaun Dalton and his wife, “Jilly”, and Arianna Dalton; her grand-children Shane Dalton, Nicholas Russo and Hannah Dalton; her great grand-children Harmony Russo and Atlas Dalton; her faithful pup, Tiki; and countless other family and friends. Diane had a huge heart and was always helping people. She eventually formed her ministry, Lean On Me Agape Ministries, with her long time, best friend, Ethel Wilcox, in order to reach out and help more people. When she was unable to continue the ministry, she opened her home to many foster and eventually, even adopted one. She would constantly “Pay it Forward”, like paying for the persons order behind her in line. If someone was truly in need, she would do whatever she was able to help. She left a smile on everyone’s face she came in contact with, whether through her humor and goofiness or her never ending generosity. Her greatest joy was her family and the Lord our God. Nothing made her happier than to be home with all her family there. Please join us to celebrate her life and share her memories on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. followed by a brief service at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ.
