Christina’s Obituary After a protracted battle with cancer Christina Isabel Martinez passed on May 30, 2019 in Castroville, TX at the age of 33. She leaves behind a daughter Lilyana Ramirez; and son’s Fernando Joshua Ramirez Jr. and Jase Ruben Martinez. Christina was born on June 18, 1985 in Corpus Christi, TX to father Ruben Martinez and mother Angelitia D. Martinez. She grew up in a large, loving family with four sisters and one brother. She graduated from Medina Valley class of 2003. She then decided to start her nursing career and got her LVN at Galen College of Nursing May 2, 2006. Christina married her high school sweetheart Fernando Joshua Ramirez Sr. on March 12, 2011. She worked with several incredible people at Centro Med, Children’s Shelter & Little Alsace Urgent Care Center. Christina was a driven young woman with a love for helping others, shopping, country music and fishing. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 19, 2016. She stayed dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness for her kids. Christina was one class away from completing her RN course while enduring cancer treatment. She remained a brave, iron willed woman, even throughout her final month. Christina is survived by her children, ex-husband, father, mother, as well as her brother Steven Martinez and sisters, Annalisa Godoy, Jessica Anariba, Jamie Roasa and Ja’net Soto and numerous nieces and nephews and brother in-laws & sister in-laws. Visitation will begin Monday, June 3, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recited rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville, Texas followed by interment at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
