Charles’ Obituary Charles R. “Chip” Wood Jr., 80, formerly of Hatfield, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. He was the loving husband of Anna (Tarantino) Wood. Born December 6, 1938 in Germantown, he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Coffey) Wood. For many years, he worked as a driver/salesman for Coca-Cola. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hatfield and a longtime member of Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company. He served in the United States Navy. Surviving with his wife are children, Joanne Livingston, husband David of Bloomsburg, Joan Wetzel of Quakertown, Terrilynn Smith of Houston, TX, Mary Reeves, husband Ralph of North Wales, Susan Klaskin, husband Eben of Pottstown, and Trish Detweiler of Blooming Glen; grandchildren, Jessica, James, Kelly, Rebecca, Jill, Sarah, Samantha, Joseph, Anna, Ralph, Melissa, Julia, David, and Trevis; great grandchildren, Christian, Kayla, James, Milo, Ryleigh, Amaya, Meadow, Adam, Irene, and Joseph; sister, Marian Moyer, husband George. He was predeceased by his son, Charles R. Wood III, and a grandson, Nicholas James. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 27th at Grace Lutheran Church, 40 N. Main St., Hatfield. Friends and family are invited to call from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Hatfield.
