Obituary of Carolyn A. Ryan Carolyn A. Ryan, 58, of Ashville, passed away Saturday June 15, 2019 in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA. She was born August 2, 1960 in Dunkirk, NY the daughter of Shirley Andrews Grzegorzewski Maslakowski and the late Edward Grzegorzewski. Carolyn was a 1978 graduate of Forestville High School. Her life revolved around her family. They meant the world to her. She loved being a wife, mom, step mom, and grandmother. She also enjoyed her grand dogs, and caring for her flowers. Surviving besides her mother of Forestville are, her husband of 28 years, Donald C. Ryan; a daughter, Sara (Mike) Swanson of Fluvanna; five step children, Tim Ryan of Panama; Sherri Moore of Jamestown; Tammy (Danny) Kenny of Ashville; Steve Ryan of Lakewood; Matt (Wendy) Ryan of Ashville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four brothers, Ed (Deb), Larry (Debbie), her twin Keith (Cheryl) and Alan (Tina) Grzegorzewski. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Henry Maslakowski. Carolyn’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Ashville Fire Department, Chautauqua County Medics, Starflight, UPMC Chautauqua, and UPMC Hamot for their excellent care. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701; or the American Heart Association.
