Carolyn J. Jacobs, age 73 of the Buckhead Community of Bolton, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. Born in Bladen County on March 13, 1946, she was the daughter of Herbert Timber Jacobs and Estelle Iola Kirsey Jacobs and the widow of Melton Russell Jacobs. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Ruby Coleman, Woodrow Jacobs, Donnie “Pete” Jacobs and Randy Jacobs; and a granddaughter, Angela Johnson. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June16, 2019 at the Worthington Memorial Chapel in Chadbourn with Pastor Michael Jacobs officiating. Survivors include her three children, Michael Johnson and his wife, Tammy, Melissa Ann Jacobs and Michelle Jacobs all of Buckhead; four siblings, Oscar Jacobs, James R. “Jimmy” Jacobs, Harry Stevie Jacobs and Debra Ann Jacobs all of Buckhead; three grandchildren, Michael Dwayne Johnson, Ashton Moore and Daquan Grady; and seven great-grandchildren.
