Carl Melvin Reynolds of Monticello January 23, 1940 – June 29, 2019 Carl Melvin Reynolds, 79, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1940 in White County to the late Paul U. and Ruth Marie (Lucy) Reynolds. On July 29, 1961 he married Doris Owens and she survives. Carl had worked at Alloy Rods and later for Monon Trailer. He was a member of the Monticello AMVETS and Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. His family thought of him as a “professional Tinkerer”. He was a member of Cross Roads of Life Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris; and children, Tammy (David) Phillips of Monticello, Paul Reynolds of Tampa, FL, Kevin (Rosanna) Reynolds of Monticello; sisters, Lillie Mae Wilhelm of Lafayette and Beaulah Widner both of Lafayette; grandchildren, Kristale, Brittany, Bradley, Matthew, Michael, Tiffany; and great grandchildren, JoAnn, Adriauna, Lillie, Hope, Makiah, Connor, Brighton, Adalyn, Jordyn, Meelah, and Parker. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Owens; and brothers, Paul and Don Reynolds. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 4 pm until the time of services at 7pm celebrating Carl’s life at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating. Military rites will be rendered at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
