Bobby’s Obituary Bobby Dan Turner, age 73, of Garland, Texas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019 surrounded by his family. Bob was born on November 20, 1945 to Charlton and Eunice Neighbors Turner in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Bob was a long time resident of Garland. He graduated from Garland High School in 1964 and began his college education at North Texas State University. In 1965 he married Linda Alderman and the couple settled in Garland and have lived in Garland ever since. In 1968, he graduated from North Texas State University. Bob always worked in the construction industry in some capacity and started his career with builders Vernon and James Smith and then worked at Associated Truss and Lumber until he retired. Bob was a recent new member of Firewheel Bible Fellowship and he loved the Lord. He went on several mission trips to Peru, Ohio and New Jersey with his long time Jupiter Road Baptist Church Family. No greater love was had than the love Bob had for his family. Bob was an artist by nature and loved to create things; he exemplified 1 Thessalonians 4:11, “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands.” He was an honorable, hard-working and humble man—a family man, who invested in his children and grandchildren wholeheartedly. His very favorite thing in the world was being “Bubby” to his adored grandchildren. Bob is survived by Linda, his loving wife of 54 years, daughters Tiffany Edwards and husband, Jody, Erika Webb and husband, Jerry, grandchildren, Taylor Smith, E’lexis King and husband D’Shon, Corbin Edwards, Chandler and Caden Cox, Michael and Matthew Webb, and great grandson Tristan Smith. Brother, Tom Turner and wife Carol, sister in love, Shirley Turner and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his son, James, grandsons Tristan Turner and Colton Edwards, brother, Berney Turner and his beloved parents Mama T and Papa T. His Celebration of Life service will be Monday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM at Firewheel Bible Fellowship Church, 2402 Castle Dr., Rowlett, Texas The family requests in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in his name or to Firewheel Bible Fellowship Church.
