Bobby “Bob”‘s Obituary Bobby Ray “Bob” Bingham, of Arlington and Kosse, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at age 89. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Kosse, with Rev. Dr. Rita Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Bob was a World War II veteran, serving in the U. S. Air Force as a B-52 tailgunner. He had a love for flying the rest of his life, and was a private pilot, although flying a commercial airliner would have been his dream job. Actually, Bob’s family thought he was born 100 years too late, as he would have been an ideal cowboy during the cowboy and Indian era. He started off as a city boy riding horses in Fort Worth, then became a really city slicker in Arlington, and then in 1972-73 he became a country boy when he and Doris bought a place at Kosse for their “get-away” from the city. He was a true horseman in the City and country; he rode in the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Posse and was later joined by son Virgil riding in the Posse. Bob worked thirty-five years in Arlington for AT&T (Southwestern Bell) as a salesman for the Yellow Pages, retiring in 1985. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Worth and a Shriner in Dallas, who participated in marching with the Shriners in parades. When Bob retired, he and Doris moved to their Kosse ranch, and he enjoyed raising cattle, horses, donkeys, cats, and dogs. After moving to Kosse, Bob was elected as Justice of the Peace, with his office being in the bank building in Thornton. He enjoyed people, and was a joker who liked to cut-up. And he especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and attended the Methodist Church in Kosse. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Doris (Brown) Bingham; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sonja Bingham; son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Cheryl Bingham; and son, Steve Bingham. Grandchildren are: Brian Bingham, Cassidy (Travis) Waybourn, Meredith Honeycutt, Brittany (Chris) Chambers, Zach Bingham, Krista Bingham, Kirsten Bingham, and Katrina Bingham. The great grandchildren are: Caidyn Waybourn, Sadie Honeycutt, Carsyn Waybourn, Sydney Honeycutt, Kynslee Loudermilk, Cash Waybourn, Marlie Chambers, and Ryan Chambers. Read More
