Beverly’s Obituary Beverly Jean Faner, 87, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2019. Family directed memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society Sioux Falls Village, 3901 S. Marion Road, Sioux Falls. Family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the nursing home. Beverly was born in Peoria, Illinois then moved with her family to Robbinsdale, Minnesota in 1966. She lived there until 2012 when she moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Those that were lucky enough to sit down to talk with Beverly never left without having a good laugh and hearing a version of one of her many stories about her adventures. Beverly loved to talk to anyone about sports, however, only the Chicago Bears and Cubs. She loved to talk about her summers canning pickles with her son-in-law, and her times working security at Jewelmont, and ushering at the Metrodome. Beverly loved drinking “beer”, which was actually ice tea but she made everyone promise not to tell. Beverly’s sidekick was Fred, her walker. She often refused to go places with him but he was the first person to receive blame on everything. She is preceded in death by her parents: Marie Dovork, Kenneth Faner, and her sons David and Alan. She leaves behind her two daughters: Karen Ryan (Dan) and Linda Faner-Wilke (Steve); a grandson Steven Tharaldson (Sara); two granddaughters: Abbie Moring (Asa) and Kayla Wilke; two great-granddaughters: Grace and Harper Tharaldson; and one great-grandson: Baby Moring. Beverly had a unique sense of humor and left a powerful imprint with all those she met. She will be remembered for her strong faith, deep love of family and her ability to make you laugh. Read More
