Ballard Wayne Adkins June 13, 1947 – June 01, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Ballard Wayne Adkins, age 71, of Shelbiana, Ky, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ballard was born in Pike County, Kentucky, on June 13, 1947, to his parents the late Vence Adkins and Lula Adams Adkins. Ballard was a retired coal miner and attended the Church of Christ, at Shelby. He was the husband of the late Margie L. King. Ballard was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and ten brothers and sisters. Ballard is survived by two sons, John Adkins, Vince Adkins (Chasity) and one daughter, Delanie Adkins, a nephew like a brother, Norman Adkins. He is survived by three grandchildren, Savannah Adkins, Briannah Adkins, Kaylee Adkins and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home Monday, June 3, 2019, 6:00 PM with visitation only. Funeral Service will be at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 12:00 Noon with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Daniel-Adkins Cemetery at Fords Branch.
