Austin “Matt” Matthew Davis, 30 of Orange, passed away on May 31, 2019 in Indianapolis. He was born on September 13, 1988 in Rushville to Donald and Donna (Godsey) Davis. Matt received his GED and then joined the United States Army serving 4 years as Military Police. He was a member of Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Matt enjoyed fishing and wrestling with his son. Matt is survived by his loving father, Donald “Donnie” Davis of Glenwood; son, Corbin Wade Davis; brothers, James Frank Davis and Brian Wayne Davis both of Laurel; sister, Angela (Jason) Allen of Laurel. He will also be missed by many aunts and uncles. Matt is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Davis; grandparents, Austin (Mildred) Godsey and James Frank (Edna) Davis. Services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1 PM in Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Coyle presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church from 11 AM until the time of service in the church. Burial will be held in Orange North Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Matt.
