Annie’s Obituary Annie Kate Parker, 87, of Houston, Texas passed away June 22, 2019 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lockesburg, Arkansas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Derris L. Parker Sr. of Hope, Arkansas and son Derris “Lynn” Parker Jr of Houston, Texas. Annie was a kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Children and animals were drawn to her loving nature. She loved unconditionally. “MeeMaw” was loved by all who knew her. Ann and Derris raised their children in Camden Arkansas and Metairie, Louisianna. She worked at LSU Medical School in New Orleans and Red River Vocational-Technical School in Hope before retiring. Annie enjoyed gardening, needlework, dominos and baking but most of all loved time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Pabody and husband Cory of Katy, TX, daughter Angela Rahm and husband Jerry of Dallas, TX and daughter in law Kay Bruno Parker of Houston, TX; along with her eight grandchildren, Chase Pabody (Erin), Chad Pabody (Shelley), Cullen Pabody, Rachel Gerke (Brad), Daniel Parker(Ellen), Eric Rahm (Valerie), Taylor Rahm (Rachel), and Kyleigh Rahm; eight great grandchildren, Cole Pabody, Campbell Pabody, Leigh Rahm, Frances Rahm, Greyson Gerke, Parker Gerke, Anderson Parker and Ruby Parker. Annie was preceded in death by five siblings, Mary Francis Gage, Ernest Hal Hunter, Bill Hunter, Ramona Pearson and Sybil Eknoyan. Services will be held at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, Texas, June 29, 2019. Visitation will be at 1:00 followed by the service at 2:00.
