Obituary for Alan “Scott” Brownell Alan Scott Brownell, 64, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek in Battle Creek, MI. He was born April 30, 1955 in Battle Creek, MI the son of George Brownell, Jr. and Myrtle Elaine (Yohpe) Brownell. Scott had worked for 30 years as a daily general manager for the Riverview Recreation in Battle Creek. He had attended Harper Creek High School. He had never married. He is survived by 2 brothers: Daniel & Lisa Lee Brownell, Battle Creek, MI, Matthew Guy & Denise Brownell, Battle Creek, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member f St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church where he was always willing to volunteer and help out at his church, he rode his moped all over town, he enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Detroit Tigers and watching pro-wrestling. Recently he broke his shoulder and was at the Laurels of Bedford for rehabilitation, during the past 6 weeks. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Gorlitz officiating. Cremation will be conducted later on. Memorial tributes may be made to: the family to defray funeral cost, make check out to Daniel Brownell, 189 Highland Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
