Alan Craig Owen (Gleason Chapel) December 05, 1950 – June 22, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Alan Craig Owen was the second son born to Robert (Bob) and Darreen Owen on December 5th, 1958. Mr. Owen graduated from Gleason High School in 1976 and in 1982 he graduated from Bethel University. He worked at the Bank of Gleason for 35 years. Mr. Owen was a 3rd degree mason and treasurer at the Gleason Masonic Lodge F&AM 330. For 32 years he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion during which time he served as a state and national officer. Mr. Owen was an active member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church. He also proudly served in the Gleason Rotary Club for 40 years. Mr. Owen passed away in his Gleason home surrounded by family on June 22nd, 2019. Services for Alan Craig Owen, age 60, of Gleason, TN will be held Monday June 24, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Tumbling Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will begin Monday at 3:00 pm and will go until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 pm. Mr. Owen is survived by his brothers Eric (Doris) Owen and Robert (Reesa) Owen of Gleason, TN. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Erica (Casey) Ross, Blaine (Andi) Owen, Ellen (Grayson) Elmore, Kody (Elizabeth) Owen, Sam (Brittany) Owen, and James (Monica) Owen. Mr. Owen also leaves behind six great nephews and two great nieces. He was proceeded in death by his father Robert (Bob) Owen and his mother Darreen Owen. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mr. Owen’s memory to Hopewell Cemetery or Gleason Masonic Lodge.
