Aaron Franklin Liggett April 16, 1934 – June 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Aaron Franklin (Frank) Liggett 85 of Cleveland, TN, passed away on June 15th, 2019 at a local healthcare facility.He is preceded in death by his parents, James Jefferson Liggett, Mary Etta Woods Liggett, wife, Ezra Lee Westfield Liggett, sister’s, Jeannette Gilliam, Betty Mitchell and Doris Maston, brother in laws, Authur Mitchell and Donnie Mull, granddaughter, Sarah Angelena Gray, and son in law Rodney Kennedy Sr. He was born in Decatur, TN on April 16th, 1934. He graduated from Booker T Washington High School in Chattanooga, TN and received an Auto Body Repair Technician Degree from Greer Technical Institute. He served his country in the United States Army. Aaron Franklin (Frank) Liggett was married to Ezra Lee Westfield Liggett on November 29th, 1957; they were married fifty-eight years. He worked as an Auto Body Repair Technician for Athens Chevrolet for one year, Herbert Benton Used Cars for twenty plus years and he opened Liggett’s Body Shop in 1969 and was self-employed for over forty years. He was a member of the Burkette’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as a Layman, Sunday school teacher, choir member and a trustee. He also attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by his daughters, Delia (Orlando) Crawford of Cleveland, TN, Maryetta Kennedy of Cleveland, TN, Jamesena Liggett Johnson of Franklin, TN, and Neomia (Milton) Lee of Clayton, NC. Two sisters Jimmie Lee Mule of Memphis, TN and Rosetta Perusal of Raleigh, North Carolina, brother in law Marquis D Dotson Sr. of Franklin, TN. Eight grandchildren, Aaron Pugh, Delisha Crawford, Rhalesha (Adasha) Dennis, Rodney Kennedy Jr, Franklin N (Nicole) Liggett, Ezra A (Naomi) Liggett, William Johnson lll and Alissa Kennedy. Nine great-grandchildren, LaTrell Kennedy, Rhadaysha Kennedy, Jadrian Hughes, LaRhayia Kennedy, Kylan Liggett, Le’Triana Hughes, Marley Cansler, Emreigh King and Keaton King and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Special cousin, Claudine Liggett, long time neighbor’s, Andrew & Brenda Johnson, Edward & Beverly Wells and Avery Johnson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 19, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Cleveland, TN. with Pastor Rev. Edward S Robinson, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Aaron Franklin Liggett will lie in state Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 12 noon until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Internment will be at Sunset Memorial Garden with military honors. Services of loving memory entrusted to M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, Tn. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The National Alzheimer’s Association. The family of Aaron Franklin (Frank) Liggett wishes to thank Bradley Healthcare wing four and Hearth Hospice.
