Richard January 14, 1956 – May 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card ARNAUDVILLE ~ Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Susan M. Richard, age 63, the former Susan M. Trahan, who passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at her residence in Arnaudville. Ms. Richard was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville where she was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church. She retired with J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home after thirteen years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a job which she loved. Ms. Richard treasured her family dearly and adored her granddaughter, Madison. Survivors include one son, Todd Alex Richard; one daughter, Erin Richard; her mother, Sue Alice Trahan all of Arnaudville; one sister, Brenda Savoy and her husband, Michael, of Jeanerette; and her beloved granddaughter, Madison Nicole Rice. She was preceded in death by her father, Alton Trahan; and one sister, Joanna Miller. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until service time on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Erin Richard, Todd Richard, Peter Fontenot, Myran Chautin and Timmy Kidder. Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville, 289 Church Street, (337) 662-7286, is in charge of arrangements.
