Leroy’s Obituary Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Johnson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Christ Church, Oakdale with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Cryer Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Johnson, 90, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Oakdale, LA. Leroy was a well-known mechanic for forty-five years. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and his family; most of all he loved his grandkids. He is remembered as a kind hearted person who would help anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ollie Johnson and his wife, Virginia Johnson. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his two sons, Byron Johnson and his wife, Nancy, of Natchitoches, Walter Johnson and his fiancé, Sherry Jeziorski, of Oakdale; six grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Jennifer, Tarl, Sean and Haley; nine great grandchildren.
